Who are we?
We are a small community of swing dancers and lindy hoppers based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

We nerd out on lindy hop, authentic solo jazz, blues and boogie woogie, while we want to repect the roots of this culture that comes from Afro-American artists of the 1920's,30's and 40's. We want to explore self expression through our dance as well as find a community and create connections.

We host social parties, weekly classes, workshops, a small festival and a summer event!

Hi, I’m Prodromos!
I am a lindy hop, boogie woogie, charleston and blues enthousiast that wanted to bring swing dances to Cyprus for the first time! I started teaching swing lessons in 2016 in Nicosia. Since then I teach at Bailemos Dance School and I also used to teach in Limassol for a while.

I love going to all kinds of swing dance festivals all over the world, but one of my more memorable moments was dancing among 500 people in Chicago during an open air swing festival and dancing to amazing swing bands in New York City.

In 2023, I organised the 1st Cyprus Swing Festival. For the first time dancers from all over the island got to meet in a national event, to have lessons from local teachers, exchange ideas and create a national swing community. The 2nd Cyprus Swing Festival happened in 2024 with a live swing band, lessons and parties and was a big success. I cannot wait for the next one!

Hi, I’m Myrto!
I started dancing Lindy Hop (LH) and Authentic Solo Jazz (ASJ) in 2019 in Athens. I moved to Cyprus in 2021 and after a little while I started being active in the Swing Dance community in Cyprus. I started teaching ASJ worshops and assist in LH classes, with Prodromos in Nicosia during 2022.

I have also helped to grow the community and to the organisation of the Cyprus Swing Festival and with organising several social parties in Nicosia.

I am a big fun of improvisation and in the classroom I encourage self expression and exploration through movement and groove! I am a big believer that Solo Jazz is more social than lindy hop ;)
